✦ Fun fact

NOTE: branding, IG, website are all launching in October, so unable to make posts until then Kape Kape comes from the Pangasinan word "kape" meaning "river crab" and the Tagalog word "kape" for coffee, so in English it would mean River Crab Coffee. It is based on the kappi tattoo motif representing resilience, adaptability, and traveler's protection. I chose this motif because this is my Filipino-American immigrant love letter to the culture I grew up with in the form of drinks.

✦ Why this market matters
There is nothing like Filipino pride. In the way we flock to support our own, as you can see with the increase in interest in tennis because of Alex Eala. I have lived in Austin since 2015 and have always missed being surrounded by a Filipino community after growing up with house parties/bible studies almost every friday night. This is the type of event I've been looking for to experience that same feeling of community and pamilya.
